When Green Power Labs was incorporated in 2003, solar energy – especially for hot water and space heating – was being widely used in many countries. Yet adoption of solar energy generation in North America was lagging behind the technology development. It seemed there was a significant gap between increasingly efficient solar technology and its acceptance as a viable energy source.

Green Power Labs recognized an important tool was needed to bridge this gap between available solar technologies and their end users, and to facilitate its widespread implementation –a tool to provide comprehensive and reliable data on solar resource, and quantify the solar potential and the corresponding energy gain, return on investment in solar technology and its positive environmental impact. Green Power Labs unique solar assessment tools bridged this gap. These tools evaluate availability of solar energy resources and their development potential which together define feasibility of solar applications at a particular location.

Whether the client is a home owner, a property developer, a small community or a large city, Green Power Labs offers a comprehensive knowledge base and “turn-key” services for making “solar choice” economically viable.
