Science of TruSolarShare
TruSolarShare Assessment considers three primary factors when determining solar gain for a site:
• the availability of south-facing roof and wall surfaces which can be used for harvesting solar energy,
• the amount of solar radiation that can reach a given surface,
• the impact of existing obstructions to solar radiation on solar energy gain at a given surface.
• the availability of south-facing roof and wall surfaces which can be used for harvesting solar energy,

• the impact of existing obstructions to solar radiation on solar energy gain at a given surface.
In its obstructions analysis, the TruSolarShare uses the view of sky hemisphere from each solar suitable roof segment. The captured image allows for determining the unobstructed portion of the sky hemisphere for solar radiation at each solar suitable surface. GreenPower Labs digitally processes the TruSolarShare image and determines the shares of solar energy gain available.
